“We wish to complete the project by 14th November this year if things go on well as planned,” he assured residents of Asokore Mampong.
The project manager of Nhyrob Construction Firm, which is the lead contractor for the Asokore Mampong Agenda 111 Hospital project within the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly in Kumasi, said aside from the initial theft cases that were recorded, the community members have not posed a problem to the project.
This came to light when the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly, Mr. Kennedy Kwasi Kankam, made a surprise tour to inspect the progress of work.
The project manager took the MCE and his few entourage around the project site. He mentioned the key work being done by three different contractors working on the project.
According to him, Greensapp Construction Company is working on zone 1 which includes work on a pharmacy and laboratory diagnosis centre, among others.
The lead contractor is working on zone 2 (physiotherapy, accident and emergency) and zone 3 (maternity ward, male ward surgery and female ward, all at ground floor), including the external work.
Mr. Danso revealed that Syndicator’s Construction Company was working on zone 4 of the project which comprises mortuary, generator yard, energy sector and maintenance block, etc.
He said the Asokore Mampong 100-bed capacity hospital under the Agenda 111 project is one of the largest across the country.
Mr. Kankam commended the three contractors for the work done and pleaded with them to speed up to ensure that they complete the project as scheduled without delay.
He renewed the unflinching support of the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly and the government to them in completing the presentation project which aims at bringing quality delivery closer to the doorsteps of citizens.
According to Mr. Kankam, the municipal, prior to the ongoing Agenda 111 Hospital project, had no district hospital apart from care centres.
When the project is completed, it will enhance quality health delivery for the betterment of all.
