Zoomlion Ghana Ltd, hand over Veronica buckets to Ledzokuku schools
The management of Zoomlion Ghana Ltd has presented 14 Veronica buckets to the Ledzokuku Municipality of the Ghana Education Service at a special ceremony at Teshie.

The presentation was part of activities earmarked for the recent commemoration of World Hand washing Day and brought together various stakeholders who took turns to educate schoolgirls on the need to take their hygiene seriously.
In her address, the Director in charge of the School Health Education Programme (SHEP) at the Ghana Education Service, Madam Theresa Oppong Mensah, described the gesture as apt, as it would go a long way toward enhancing cleanliness among the beneficiary learners.

She stated that the GES was ready to partner with all stakeholders in promoting the development of education in the country.
Madam Opong Mensah appealed to all and sundry to strive to wash their hands with water and soap all the time, and not only water to get the required cleanliness.
Again, she reminded the students to make hand washing a daily habit and not just a one of act since they could get in touch with germs and other organisms without knowing it.

The Municipal Director of Education for Ledzokuku, Mrs Theresa Tetteh, on her part, charged parents to have a keen interest in the hygienic and general well-being of their children so they could stay healthy and study at school.
She described the support from Zoomlion as very important since it would go a long way to promote hygiene, which was very critical for the development of all children.
The Municipal Director again appealed to other well-meaning Ghanaians and corporate organisations to emulate the gesture by Zoomlion Ghana Ltd and complement the government’s efforts at providing resources towards the promotion of good health among the populace, irrespective of their location.
The Head of Zoomlion Foundation,
Mr Thomas Korley, said the support was part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to help promote good health among school children, who are good agents of change in every society.
He urged the beneficiary schools to take good care of them so they would last longer to merit the purpose of their presentation.
Mr Korley pledged to continue working in collaboration with the GES towards the promotion of good health and the lives of the people.Soutce: Felix A.Baidoo
