𝗞𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗴(𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗡𝗣𝗣) ✍️𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀…

After successfully completing my assigned tasks for the Ejisu By-Election, I joined 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐍𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐀𝐲𝐞𝐰 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐞, Member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore Constituency, Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Health, and Middle Belt Coordinator for the NPP 2024 Campaign for a massive health walk.

The health walk, organized by Friends of Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye (FODA) in collaboration with the Constituency Party and chaired by Chairman KK, traversed the principal streets of Effiduase and Asokore.

The event witnessed a remarkable turnout, with enthusiastic participation from various identifiable groups within the constituency. In my address to the gathering,

I emphasized the importance of dedicated effort to ensure overwhelming support for Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye Afriye and Dr. Bawumia, aiming for over 90% of the total votes cast. Such a resounding victory is essential to fortify the NPP’s commitment to sustaining the Free SHS policy, especially in light of statements made by John Mahama regarding his skepticism 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 $𝟐𝐦 𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 towards 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐇𝐒 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲.

Reflecting on past electoral promises and subsequent actions, particularly the revision of the 𝟒(𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫)𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 SHS policy 𝐭𝐨 𝟐½ by the NDC after the 2008 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 when they had prior promise to review the 4years SHS system, it is evident that steadfast support for Free SHS is crucial to its preservation. Mahama’s expressed intent to review the policy, despite being a beneficiary of Free SHS himself, underscores the importance of maintaining vigilance against any potential threats to this landmark educational initiative.

The health walk was attended by notable dignitaries, including Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim (MP for Kumawu), Hon. Onyina (NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Kwabre East), Hon. Osei Adiyiah (DCE for Sekyere East), as well as other constituency chairpersons and executives from the region.
