Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, has cautioned New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters within the Ejisu Constituency to unite and attach seriousness to the upcoming 2024 general election.
Relating his advice to how footballers attach seriousness to a World Cup competition, he challenged them to do same considering the crucial nature of the elections.
Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, who is a former NPP Chairman for the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency in the Ashanti Region, told the supporters at the forecourt of the Ejisu Municipal Assembly after a health-walk exercise on Saturday, 7th September 2024, not to joke with this year’s elections.
According to him, Ghanaians will not forgive them if they allow the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to win and return to governance.
He, therefore, urged the rank and file of the NPP, especially those in the constituency, to bury their differences and work in unity for the victory of the party.
“Let’s all get on board and maximise votes for our party. If we approach this general election with a divisive mentality, NPP can’t retain power,” he stressed.
Touching on the performance of the constituency vis-a-vis the 2020 elections, he applauded them for obtaining 82 per cent out of the total votes that were cast in the constituency.
“Asanteman is counting on Ejisu, and Dr. Bawumia is counting on Ejisu. Come December 7, we want Ejisu to give NPP 90 per cent of votes,” he pleaded with them.
