2024 Polls:We’ve done more than enough to break the 8 – Dr Nsiah Asare

Presidential Adviser on Health, Dr Anthony Nsiah Asare has revealed that the current NPP government is on course to doing something that seems untenable in Ghana’s political dispensation since the fourth republic began.

No political party has ever enjoyed more than eight (8) consecutive years in power since 1992 when the fourth republic was birthed
When quizzed by Obed Acheampong (Sir Obed) on Silver FM’s flagship political programme dubbed “Ghana Ho Nkↄmↄ” if the ruling party can indeed break the eight (8) on Saturday, the former Director-General of the Ghana Health Service answered in the affirmative, touting government’s achievements as testament to why he strongly believes his party will break the eight (8).

The astute surgeon highlighted that the fulfillment of campaign promises such as Free SHS, 1D1F, Planting for Food and Jobs, and the construction of good roads, and massive improvements in healthcare delivery should merit at least another mandate for the NPP.
He further stated that the current economic crisis that government is facing could be attributed to the effects brought by the covid-19 pandemic.

His comment was in reaction to public perception that government has unfairly pinned the blame of its own economic mismanagement on the pandemic.
Commenting on the status of the Eurojet Projects initiated by erstwhile Prez Kufuor, and the Agenda 111 projects by the current administration, Dr Nsiah Asare underlined that the Akufo-Addo government is very determined in its resolve in completing these projects and they are within schedule to complete every one of them before President Akufo-Addo exits office in January 2025.

He assured that the quality of healthcare delivery is paramount on the president’s agenda; hence, he (Prez Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo) will not relent on his promises.
