Baffuor Owusu Afriyie II,Otumfuo Abrafourhene would soon perform grounds breaking ceremony for the construction works to begin on Abuakwa Health Centre in Ashanti.
He said the construction of the health centre,is not as a result of displaying his source of wealth but a sign of patriotism and devoted citizen.
In an interview, Otumfuo Abrafuorhene,said the project is going to cost over 8 billion old cedis with ultra modern OPD, doctors consulting rooms, laboratory, wards, urinals and other facilities.
According to him, chippings, sands and other building materials are ready and it is expected that there would be no delay once the construction begins.

He explained that, he once visited the facility and what he saw was an eyesore and not good for health delivery.
According him, health sector is one of the sectors in the country which the government and for that matter every concerned citizen must not toyed and politicize
with.
” If it was about me alone, I wouldn’t have pumped this amount of monies into the project,but the poor among the current and future generations to come ” he added.
He showered praises on Asantehene,Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his human centered approaches adopted to alleviate the burden of his people, especially health and education.
Baffuor Owusu Afriyie,who is also Atwima Maakrohene,said the recent fund raising by Otumfuo to resurrect Komfo Teaching Hospital also gingered him more on this regard.
According to him, he had also done enough for his people and no wonder people in the community are cooperative and fully endorse everything he does.
He said the community was having only one transformer, pbut he has managed to get additional six(6) transformers as well as provision of street lights at vantage points to reduce crime rates.
According to him, he has also constructed Maakro basic school to facilitate teaching and learning.
Baffuor Owusu Afriyi, later cautioned political parties, especially those within the NPP in Atwima Nwabiagya South to conduct free and clean campaign and desist from branding opponents with all sorts of lies all because of power.
He noted that, he has personally invited NPP Atwima Nwabiagya South constituency chairman to advised him to talk to Parliamentary Candidate hopefuls to conduct policies- centered campaigns in order not to create violence and accrimonies among themselves.
Baffuor Owusu Afriyie, also cautioned the delegates to choose the one whom the constituents admire and desist from “following monies” to choose a candidate that the people oppose.
