RE: Asantes will still vote for NPP even without developments – Wontumi

The attention of the Ashanti Regional Leadership of the New Patriotic Party has been drawn to a false online publication under the above mischievous headline.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi), has not made any such statement, or granted any such interview to any media house or journo anywhere. It is therefore not surprising that the publication failed to cite or reference a source linked to the said pronouncement.

The Regional Chairman, since the days of the NDC administration till date, has always urged the various governments to prioritise the region’s development, and it is yielding results, as the current administration is taking steps to initiate, execute and complete various projects in the region.

In just 10 days ago, he led the Ashanti Regional Executives to meet the president of the Republic to champion for developmental projects for every single constituency in the region

Indeed, he will never take delight in seeing the stronghold of the party suffer major setbacks in terms of infrastructural development, because he believes the region doesn’t vote massively for the party just for the sake of it. We vote for development, and we vote for the NPP, because the party stands for development in freedom.

We therefore urge all to disregard that false publication and treat its content with the contempt it deserves.
