The New Trust Newspaper has gathered that plans are far advanced for the official swearing-in of Nana Kwame Nnuro Agyapong II, Nyamekromhene, as Nkosuohene of the New Juaben traditional area on 21st May, 2026, at Yiadom Hwedie Palace at 5 pm prompt.

Nana Yaw Wiredu, as he’s affectionately called in private life, is currently the Presiding Member (PM) for the Asokwa Municipality in the Ashanti Region and the incumbent Assembly Member for the Ahensan Estate electoral area.

Besides, he’s the Ashanti regional representative of NALAG and a national first vice president hopeful for NALAG.

Nana Yaw Wiredu, who is one of the longest-serving assembly members in Ghana, is also known for his advocacy in environmental and sanitation issues.
