The campaign of Hon. Stephen Asamoah Boateng, popularly known as Asabeee, received boost of symbolic significance after delivering his 7 point strategic plan that will make the NPP break the 8.

To a rousing applause from his colleagues, the Assistant Secretary of the Sehwi Wiawso, Nathaniel Boadu Tawiah, was overcome with joy that the NPP has in Asabeee a true field operator who can beat the opposition NDC in the 2024 General Elections. “From what I’ve heard today, I can confidently say that with Asabeee as our National Chairman, we will surely break the 8. Am giving you my personal financial contribution of Ghc1,000 towards your campaign campaign” he said to a standing ovation from his colleagues.

Speaking to this reporter on Saturday afternoon on the rationale for his gesture, soft spoken Nathaniel said he was blown away by the deep nature of the message from Asabeee during his campaign tour of his area.

According to him, he saw in Asabeee’s 7 pronged policy statement, a man who was selfless, bold, determined and committed to the course of the New Patriotic Party.

“I must confess that I was blown away by the campaign message of Hon Stephen Asamoah Boateng and having listened to the other aspirants vying for the Chairman position, I saw in Asabeee an excellent communicator, bold, trustworthy, competent and determined figure who is worthy to be supported with funds and I spontaneously gave him Ghc1,000 as a starter to him and drum his message to every delegate in the Western North Region”, an elated Nathaniel stated.

COMMITMENT:
Nathaniel, who is also an Assembly Member for the Amafie Electoral Area noted that he was committed to campaign for Asabeee in all the areas including Sefwi-Akontombra.

He said he had already, at a meeting with his colleagues, convinced all the 17 delegates in his constituency including his Chairman to vote for Asabeee, adding that the next move by his team is to move from constituency-to-constituency to convince them about Asabeee.

Giving some background, Nathaniel said his ambition in life is to be truthful and bold politician and has since nurtured that trait which he sees to be lacking in most persons. These traits, he sees in the affable and humble Asabeee.

“My brother since the campaign started I have heard all messages from almost all the aspirants but after seeing Asabeee for the first time and listening to him I realised i had now met a mentor par excellence”, Nathaniel stated.

MESSAGE:
Nathaniel said that the bit about Asabeee’s message was too juicy to choose one out of them. Each of his 7 point plan addresses our own internal party matter as well as focuses on a clear path to beat the NDC.

He noted that as stated by Asabeee, the party needed unity to confront the hurdle before it in 2024, adding that seeing Asabeee he is confident the latter can best lead the party to achieve that.

The Deputy Constituency secretary added that the 2024 election would be the most crucial ever in Ghana since the stakes would be high with NDC scheming to end the NPP governance while the NPP seeks to break the 8 year cycle and do more than two terms.

“The dynamics of 2024 elections and the issues likely to come out before the elections make Asabeee the best person to lead the NPP as a Field Commander who is fully loaded to fend off attacks from the opposition and launch the NPP’s own onslaught. The situation we are faced with calls for the character of Asabeee. This is no time for just any person to be a Chairman. We need a situational Chairman.
