The leadership of Asante Youth Association (AYA), led Dr Ronald Ofori Anane(President), Mr Tweneboa Kodua(General Secretary) and Mr Joe Oppong the Vice president in charge of Operations have extended its sincere condolences to His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor, the former President of Ghana, his children and the entire family for the passing of the former First Lady, Mrs.Theresa Kufuor.

According to members of the group, they received the news of the demise of the former First Lady with a great shock.

“We were saddened by the news of the death of one of the great women in our time,” a statement released by the group indicated.

The statement added, “Mrs. Theresa Kufuor distinguished herself as a professional nurse and as former First Lady for eight years.”

AYA said Mrs. Kufuor would be remembered for her great contribution to Ghana’s progress through her Mother and Child Community Foundation (MCCDF).

The group said “Mother Theresa Kufuor was a true reflection of this saying by the Jews Mothers are next to God. It is the prayer of AYA that the good Lord encourages and strengthen Bosompra J.A Kufuor and the entire family
