The Ashanti regional communication directorate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by Dennis Kwakwa has put up massive defense against the propaganda that President AKUFO-ADDO led administration has neglected the region in terms of infrastructure development.

According to him,Nana Addo led government has done well in terms of infrastructure development ranging from Education,health , roads among other sectors.
Mr.Dennis Kwakwa was addressing a well attended press conference on Thursday,20th October,2022 held at True Vine hotel,Kumasi

The press conference was purposely to thank the President,Nana Addo Dankwa AKUFO-ADDO on behalf of the regional executives of the Party and people of Ashanti region for the massive infrastructure projects his government has undertaken so far.

The presser was also used by the communication directorate to provide evidence through the media to prove to the people of region they have not and would be neglected by Nana Addo led government.

In a power point presentation, Dennis Kwakwa said since assumption of office in 2017 to date, NPP government has embarked on 297 infrastructure projects in education sector alone amounting to 3,744 unit classrooms.
On health sector, Ashanti NPP communication Director announced that 32 hospital projects are been worked on.

Out of the number,26 were initiated by Nana Addo,6 hospitals were inherited and 4 out of the 6 were started by former president J.A.Kufour administration.
He acknowledged the fact that NDC government started that of KUMAWU and Fomena hospitals.
He revealed that out of the 307 ambulances distributed throughout the country Ashanti region had 49.

Dennis Kwakwa said under the One District,One Factory (1D1F), Ashanti region alone has so far benefited from 54 factories.
He said 27 factories have so far been completed and employed 27,291 people while others are on the various stages of completion.

Adding that Maize factory which was recently commissioned by President AKUFO-ADDO at Nsuta-Kwagyei in the Sekyere Central Assembly’s job created is not part of figured he according to him,the maize factory alone is expected to benefit over 5,000 farmers directly.

Touching on road infrastructure, Dennis Kwakwa said 265KM of highway roads have been done.421Km of feeder roads ,199.6km of Urban roads have been done with additional asphalt overlay under Urban road projects .
