A clarion call has gone to the delegates of New Patriotic Party (NPP) across the country, especially those in the Ashanti region to vote massively to retain the current General Secretary of the NPP, Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong.

Mr.J.K. Owusu-Boakye (General Abito,a leading member of NPP and a former spokesperson to the former Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, late Dr Anthony Akoto Osei,who made the appeal, said maintaining Kodua as General Secretary will position NPP to get back to winning ways as Ashanti comes back to its glorious days.
He made the call at the sidelines of Justin Kodua’s tour of constituencies in the Ashanti Region.

According to General Abito, as he’s affectionately called in political space, the General Secretary has performed sterlingly for the party in the last four years despite the party losing power to the NDC. The party has been transformed and is strategically moving towards an inclusive democratic party of all members of the party.

He argued strongly that Kodua represents the youthful cohort in NPP to take up leadership of the NPP and must be supported by all.”He (Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua) has done well and brought innovations and strategic interventions to the High Office of the Scribe in the NPP. The election of the flagbearer in a top-down approach has helped to avert a calamitous disintegration of the party after the defeat of the party in 2024.
