The Value Learning Community (VLC) programme has officially commenced at the Assin North
Senior High Technical School with the training of selected peer guides as the first phase of
implementation.
The initiative forms part of efforts to strengthen collaborative teaching,
professional learning, and values-based education within the school.
The peer guides, drawn
from various classes, are undergoing a mandatory 20-hour training designed to equip them with
leadership, mentoring, and facilitation skills necessary to support colleagues and drive the VLC
process.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Emmanuel Frimpong Adjorlolo emphasized that the VLC
programme is designed to instil strong moral values, discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and
leadership qualities in students.
He noted that the initiative seeks to nurture respectful, confident, and self-motivated learners who uphold integrity and contribute positively to the school and
society.
On his part, the Assistant Headmaster for domestics, Mr. Erasmus Batsa expressed confidence
that the programme will strengthen students’ character development and improve academic
performance by fostering collaboration, accountability, and a positive school culture.
The selected peer guides demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment during the opening session,
reflecting a strong readiness among students to embrace the initiative and grow both
academically and morally.
