Meanwhile,a leading member of NPP had earlier on called on Addai Nimo, Boakye Agyarko to reconsider going for run-off .
According to a report by Nasiba Yakubu
a member of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team has advised two NPP presidential aspirants who tied for fifth place in the super delegates conference to reconsider going for a run-off.
Francis Addai Nimo and Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko on Saturday got nine votes each representing 0.98% of the votes cast. The party is expected to hold a tie-breaker to decide the fifth person joining the race.
But speaking on The Probe on JoyNews, Frederick Opare Ansah stated that it would be more rewarding for one or both of them to pull out of the presidential race to not only save the party the efforts of reorganising another conference but also prevent financial stress.
“I would wish, for instance, the two who placed fifth – and the party is now going to decide whether to have a run-off or not – to assess the situation and decide for themselves whether indeed they want to put the party through this.”
“The emotions, the campaigning, the race, and the cost and whether it is prudent to fight for fifth position as it were. Sometimes it might be smarter to pull out at this time and let the party hail you for saving it all the struggle than to really go through only to prove a point,” he said.
Mr Ansah urged Mr Addai Nimo and Mr Agyarko to hold discussions among themselves and choose the best way forward.
He explained that it is in their best interest to reconsider and assess whether the fifth-place position is worth pursuing especially since there is a national conference ahead to determine the flagbearer.
“I have been a member of somebody’s team before in 2014 and 31st August came and I did advise that I think where we are it might be prudent to pull out. Yes, but we didn’t. We continued and we slayed from 8% to 4%. So when it gets to this point, it is important and prudent to sit and do a proper assessment of the situation before taking a further step forward.”

We should always learn from history because it is a guide that will help us to know what happened in the past.
lf the same sickness that killed your parents or any family member kills you, then something may be wrong with you.
In every competition, you will not get everybody to support you and that makes democracy beautiful.
Let’s be careful not to destroy the future of our great party. I think we should also recognize the good works of chairman Stephen Ntim and JFK, lead administration for their fair play. They deserve praise. Congratulations to all. Coka,l care
We the Association of Electoral Area Coordinators in the Ashanti Region are expressing our heartfelt gratitude to the Members of Parliament and Constituency Chairmen of the Ashanti Region for voting massively for the Vice President, HE Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in yesterday’s Super Delegates Conference just as we humbly appealed to them.
The outcome of the Special Delegates Conference in the exact reflection of the situation on the ground. The choice of HE Dr. Bawumia is the choice of the grassroots and polling station executives, and for that matter, as Members of Parliament and Constituency Chairmen representing these members of the party, you did exactly the right thing by voting for the Vice President accordingly.
As the mouthpiece of the grassroots and polling station executives in the party, we feel honoured and proud by the mere fact that you granted their wish.
It was indeed obvious in the reception given the Vice President when he visited the region during the campaign tour. Your public declarations of your support for him were not mere political gimmicks and rhetorics. You have really proven to all that you are honourable, respectable and noble men that need to be held in high esteem at all times.
As we indicated and pledged in our previous statement and mantra “you do us, we do you”, we will return the favour in the next parliamentary primaries and constituency elections. We are once again grateful to you all.

The Deputy Minister for Education in charge of General Education, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has affirmed that the nation’s transformation agenda was on course.
He explained that the massive craving for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education by the nation especially the youth and the support being received from the private sector were enough evidence to indicate that the nation is gradually being transformed through education.
“As a country, we are on the right path of transformation. We just have to do more, a lot more collaboration is also needed.
This summit is apt since that is what the country needs to move forward. Innovative discussion from the summit will help us chart a path ahead of us”.
Rev. Ntim Fordjour made the announcement when he spoke at the just-ended Ghana 2023 Global STEM and Computing Education Summit held in Accra.
Rev Ntim Forfjour
The three-day summit brought together STEM education and Computing experts from across the world together to brainstorm on how to get the best for the country’s development.
Papers were presented by experts and best practices were shared after which participants looked at how best the country could also position itself among great nations with STEM education and computing.
The Deputy Minister recounted the huge investment being made by the government towards revamping the education sector as the pipeline to serve the critical manpower needs of the country.
“All we are doing is to expose our youth to the fast-changing global market needs. We are training them with critical thinking skills to meet the changing dynamics. To catch up with the rest of the world requires good education which is exactly what we are doing”. Rev. Ntim Fordjour said.
“A lot is being done towards increasing access to STEM education to students and the nation as a whole. Afia Kobi SHS for example is now becoming the hub of Aviation and Aeronautic Studies in the country due to their interest and readiness to learn. They have attracted national attention”. He stated.
Rev. Ntim Fordjour who is also the Member of Parliament for Assin South spent much time enumerating the various measures that have been put in place by the government to ensure that the nation’s transformation agenda through education was boosted for the good of the nation.
He praised the private sector and all other stakeholders who were working very hard and collaborating with the government towards the transformation of the nation’s economy through education.
Dr Charles Hackman Essel, a Lecturer at the Cape Coast University Business School, in his welcome address, commended the government for its effort being made to make STEM education the driving force for the nation’s development.
Mr Aeron Kwaku Twum Akwaboah, Director in charge of Strategy and Innovation at the Education Ministry assured all the stakeholders of the Ministry’s preparedness to ensure that they all work as a team to get the best for the country and the rest of the world.
