The Omanhene of Prang Traditional Area in the Pru West District of the Bono East Region, Nana Kwadwo Nyarko III, has emphasized that transparency, honesty, accountability and hardworking are the key ingredients that promote socio economic development of every nation. He has therefore urged all traditional rulers to emulate these shining examples of him.

Nana Kwadwo Nyarko in an exclusive interview with  this paper, explained that never has Prang and its divisional lands have countenance any sort of misunderstanding that have resorted into chaos all because when issues are brought before him and his sub-chiefs for settlement, they make sure that the issues on the grounds are addressed well devoid of personalities involved.

He said Prang Traditional Area has different kinds of tribes, yet he lives cordially with them as his palace is always opened to address their concerns. “I’m the chief of this area but the palace belongs to all of us as it is always opened to everyone to come in with their concerns for redress “he added

The respected chief hinted that he will do everything he can to make Prang one of the development oriented traditional areas in Ghana. According to him, he is not complacent about the development and progress that are currently ongoing in the area but he will still lobby for more so that the current and future generations would testify well about him and his elders.

Nana Kwadwo Nyarko reiterated that he has released vast lands to the government to embark on giant projects in the area which some have been completed and others are still ongoing. He announced that some of the completed projects completed include; starch factory under IDIF, Prang water project, Regional Urban Roads office.Story by Charles Ampong

According to him, those under construction include; Pru West District Hospital under 88 District Hospitals as announced by the President some years ago, Prang town roads project among others.

He said chieftaincy is about the development and see no reason why he should remain in his palace why his people are suffering. He urged the people in the area especially the youth to continue to rally behind him to ensure more development and progress. He used the encounter to thank the President, Nana Akufo Addo for his vision for the district.
