The New Trust Newspaper has gathered that there was a big jubilation at Tafo-Pankrono on Wednesday,29th June,2022 when a number of chiefs joined the Municipal Chief Executive(MCE) for the area,Hon.Laud Inusah Lansah to cut sod for the construction of road, storm drain and U-drains .
The over 900 meters roads and 300 meters drains for the Municipality is sponsored by Secondary Cities Support Program (GSCP).

The Municipality and other 34 assemblies across the country has been selected for piloting to benefit from the project which is expected to end in 2025.
Speaking at the separate sod cutting ceremonies for the commencement of the projects,

Hon.Laud Inusah Lansah,the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) was very grateful to government led by Nana Akufo-Addo for considering the municipality in the program. He said the program would go along way to address road and storm drains challenges faced by the Municipality.

According to him,aside the storm and U-drains at Santan electoral area,there is going to be upgrading of Arizona road (269m),Abed roadabout road (114m) and Richard Appiah road (446m) at Pankrono East.

The MCE said many of the projects have been in the pipeline for over 13 years now but Nana Addo led administration has come to their aid to construct it for them.He appeals to the various contractors to do quality work and complete the projects as scheduled.

He assured the residents of the area especially the Assembly members that each electoral area would definitely get it fair share of the projects under Secondary Cities Support Program among other interventions.

A famous construction firm,Alhaji & Madina Construction Ltd led by Alhaji Aliu Salis who was present was introduced to Nananom and other stakeholders present.

Alhaji & Madina has been given contract to construct the the LOT -2 of Santan storm drains.
