BRACE UP AGAINST FEAR .LAZINESS AND TAKE YOUR EDUCATION SERIOUS-Pranghene tells students

The Prang Traditional Council under the leadership of Nana Kwadwo Nyarko III has urged the youth in the country to eschew sense of fear, laziness, excuses among others saying ” excuses are garbage capable of making them keep away from success”.

 

Nana Kwadwo Nyarko who is also the Paramount Chief of Prang in the Pru West District of the Bono East Region was speaking to this paper in exclusive interview. He explained that, Ghanaian youth must now be looking at a new paradigm shift as society is becoming more complex.

He noted that the world was witnessing challenging times where hard work, perseverance, creativity, critical thinking, patience, dedication, honesty, integrity and other virtues were no longer cherished value but instead had given way to instant results, tricks, laziness, corruption, nepotism, short cuts to riches and cutting corners which were more valued.

The renowned and respected Chief urged the youth to stay away from people who have   mindset of negativity and have potency to retard their progress. “Eschew the naysayers and those who want to distract you and wear you down ” he added.

Nana Kwadwo Nyarko said  the nation cannot ” stand on the shoulders ” of its youth who are seriously engaging in vices such as cyber crime, armed robbery, drug abuse and trafficking, occultism and others.

He underscored the important role the youth play in the socio – economic development of the nation but expressed concern about the alarming rate at which some sections of the youth are involved in all manner of vices in the society.

He further urged the youth to take their education more seriously which is the only way to come out of poverty. ” In journey to your goals there are challenges but don’t be perturbed rather remain focused and with God and hard work, you will emerge winners” he added. Nana Kwadwo Nyarko finally motivated the youth that their present circumstances will not determine their future but rather their dreams, hard work and aspirations.
