Information reaching the New Trust Newspaper online, indicates that a powerful rainstorm has wreaked havoc in the Badu in the Tain District of the Bono  region, claiming Five(5) lives with several others injured.

Dr.Lucy Acheampong, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Tain District in a post shared on the Party’s social media on Monday,30th October,2023,has announced.

The post intercepted by this portal reads:

“Good morning Hon members. I’m with a sorrowful and broken heart to announce to you this dawn the demise of 5 people who were among others taking shelter in a school building during a heavy downpour of rain and storm at Badu in the Tain District.

This incident occured during football games organized to support the Annual Yam Festival and Homecoming and Fundraising Durbar to raise funds to put up an Ultramodern Durbar grounds for the people of Badu.

This event is one of the Self-help initiatives introduced by me, the DCE, to augment the effort of the government in it’s development agenda for Ghana and Badu in the main.

Please, join me prayers for the repose of those who lost their lives and pray for me during this trying moment. Thank you”.
