Speaking after the engagement, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah said the visit formed part of his commitment to maintaining regular contact with people at the grassroots and creating opportunities for their concerns to be heard.
He said the Race Course Market remained an important commercial hub in Kumasi, making engagements with traders particularly important to understanding the issues affecting them and the wider business environment.
According to him, effective leadership requires constant interaction with the people, especially those whose daily activities contribute significantly to the economic development of the region.
He said grassroots engagements would therefore remain a key component of his leadership as Ashanti Regional Chairman, stressing that the concerns and perspectives of ordinary citizens would continue to inform his approach to leadership.
Odeneho Kwaku Appiah expressed appreciation to the traders and residents for the warm reception accorded him during the visit.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to promoting inclusive leadership, unity, and stronger engagement within the NPP in the Ashanti Region.
He said he would continue to engage communities, traders, and other stakeholders across the region to strengthen relationships, listen to their concerns, and contribute to the collective development of the region.
