The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Asanteman COKA, has visited the Kumasi Race Course Market to engage traders and listen to their concerns as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots interaction.

The visit, which took place on Wednesday, provided the Regional Chairman with an opportunity to interact directly with traders, hear their concerns and gain a better understanding of the challenges confronting them in their daily business activities.

He said the Race Course Market remained an important commercial centre in Kumasi, with traders playing a significant role in the economic activities of the city.

According to him, engaging people at the grassroots was essential to effective leadership because it provided an opportunity to understand their challenges beyond formal meetings and official channels.

Odeneho Kwaku Appiah said such engagements would continue to form an integral part of his leadership as Ashanti Regional Chairman, emphasising the need to create an environment where people could freely express their concerns and contribute to discussions on issues affecting their communities.

He said the NPP leadership in the Ashanti Region would continue to strengthen its relationship with traders, businesses, community leaders and other stakeholders as part of efforts to promote unity and collective development.

The Regional Chairman expressed appreciation to the traders and residents of the Race Course area for the warm reception accorded him during the visit.

He assured them of his commitment to inclusive leadership and sustained engagement with the people across the Ashanti Region.

Odeneho Kwaku Appiah further stressed the importance of maintaining a strong connection between the party’s leadership and the grassroots, saying regular interaction would help strengthen mutual understanding and build greater confidence among stakeholders.
