The highly patronised medical screening held in front of Ejura Palace was organised by the Ejura Community Hospital led by Dr Eliasu, in collaboration with HopeXchange Medical Centre, to support the festival.
The residents received free services, free general medical examination, free breast cancer examination, free medicine, and free cervical cancer screening.
Other services provided included free surgeries for hernia, lipoma, hydrocele, and fibroid in a mobile van fully equipped with modern equipment.

Dr. Eliasu, who was born and brought up in Ejura, rose from a tractor operator to become a medical practitioner and is currently a medical superintendent for the Ejura Sekyeredumase Government Hospital.
As part of giving back to his community, he decided to sponsor the free medical or health screening for the residents in support of the Sekyerene Festival 2026.
According to him, Barimah Osei Hwedie III, Ejuramanhene, has been an inspirational and development-oriented chief; hence, he (Dr. Eliasu) could not sit down unconcerned without doing something beneficial to the community members and also contribute to the success of the festival, hence his sponsorship of the free medical services.
Dr. Eliasu, however, expressed concern about the lack of the needed equipment and facilities in the three major hospitals in the area to help handle major cases that are usually referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) which is already overstretched with referral cases.
According to him, he would continue to push until Ejura Sekyeredumase gets the needed health equipment in order to make quality healthcare accessible to all citizens in the area.
All that the residents needed to enjoy the free medical services was to provide or show their active NHIS card.
A cross-section of beneficiaries of the free medical services, including Mr. Nicolas Dadzie, a resident; Madam Bailawu Mohammed, farmer; Madam Ashah Bawa, trader; among others, were full of praise for Dr. Eliasu Thouphique for the unprecedented free medical services.
The beneficiaries were also grateful to receive free drugs after the medical screening.
Many of the beneficiaries said Dr. Eliasu had been supporting the residents in various ways to access quality healthcare. “Today’s free medical service is massive. We’ll vote massively for him if he contests as Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ejura Sekyeredumase Constituency,” they added. They prayed for a long life full of strength for Dr. Eliasu.
They appealed to him to continue to support the people of Ejura. According to them, Dr. Eliasu is a God-sent to Ejuraman since his kind gestures, especially in the medical space, are unprecedented and should be emulated by others.
