Mr. Ernest Afrifa, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AE Ushering Agency who is also a youth activist, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for appointing more young people to his government.

He said the move is aimed at providing the youth with more opportunities to contribute and gain experience in the workforce.

Interestingly, Mr. Afrifa is not the only person commending President Mahama’s decision. Some members of the opposition political parties like the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have also lauded the President for appointing young talents to key positions in his administration.

He expressed confidence in the abilities of these young appointees, highlighting their potential to make a positive impact.

Speaking to journalists yesterday after a successful naming ceremony for his second born, Jesuslyn Abena Boamah Afrifa, Mr. Afrifa urged the youth to rise to the challenge and fully take advantage of the opportunities presented to them by President Mahama.

According to him, by entrusting young individuals with key appointments, President Mahama is demonstrating his confidence in their abilities and potential to drive positive change.

He noted that as President Mahama emphasised during the launch of the NDC youth manifesto, the youth are the catalyst for positive change, and it is essential they take advantage of the opportunities provided to them.

By doing so, they can help shape the future of Ghana and create a brighter future for themselves and generations to come, he added.

Additionally, he said President Mahama’s 24-hour economy policy is an ambitious plan to boost productivity, competitiveness, and job creation in Ghana.

The policy, according to him, aims to encourage businesses to operate around the clock, using a three-shift system to maximise productivity and efficiency.

By implementing this policy, he indicated that President Mahama hopes to transform Ghana into an import substitution and export-led economy, ultimately creating more well-paying jobs for unemployed Ghanaians.

The CEO further indicated that the move could potentially reduce the unemployment rate in the country, which is a significant challenge facing Ghana’s economy.

It is exciting to see President Mahama’s commitment to creating jobs and stimulating economic growth. If successfully implemented, the 24-hour economy policy could be a game-changer for Ghana’s economy.
