Flagstaff House and NPP General Secretary JFK should stop pressuring Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen to stop the organisers of the Alan grassroots walk in Kumasi, because, Alan cannot stop them.

Unlike those indiscipline party chairmen and executives, NPP Members of Parliament and government functionaries who always go against the party’s directives to campaign for Dr Muhammadu Bawumia openly, these are party grassroots members who don’t understand the docility and disadvantageous caution their favourite Candidate, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen is exercising while party Executives and MPs campaign for Bawumia.

Many of these people have suffered because of Alan from before 2007 when they expressed their support for him. Some were beaten and maimed because they believe in him.

It’s because of the welfare of many of them that Alan Kyerematen informed the party that he would have no choice but to resign if the party continue to look on unconcerned for his people to be brutalised by supporters of Nana Akufo-Addo.

Today, that is used as a propaganda weapon against Alan that he resigned from the party when he didn’t. If he did, when did he return and through what processes?

These and other grassroot members aren’t organizing the walk at his convenience or to please him but to call on him to give him ultimatum to step out and represent them or they part ways with him.

In fact, it is some of them who lamented Alan’s docility and seeming complacency to me that informed my recent analysis of his political disposition.

They don’t agree to the Bawumia/Alan political improper fraction ticket that pro-Bawumia people in the party who want Bawumia to lead at all cost are suggesting.

If Alan isn’t interested in leading the party anymore, he should just tell them so that they would know they are done with him and the party. That’s their message.

So, pressuring Alan to stop them from organizing their walk will not only go against Alan but the party, because, they will not only lose trust and hope in him but give up completely on the party.

Alan has no say in this matter and shouldn’t pretend he does. If he does and he’s able to stop them then it’s organised by him hence fake stage play and he and the supporters must be ignored completely.
