Exactly 5 years ago, my dad called me and asked what are my plans after my Biochemistry TAship, I simply told him I’d come back to join him grow his school or find another school and teach there.
I had started actively with my news update on my WhatsApp status – BRIGHT NEWS, I called it. So, my friends advised that I go into Journalism because they saw the potential in me.
The rest is HISTORY!
Yesterday, the Ghana Journalists Association in Ashanti Region crowned me the 2025 JOURNALIST of the YEAR.
This can only be God.
On the night, I also won Best Feature Production, Best Agric Reporter, and 2nd Best in Entertainment Journalism.
Emmanuel Debrah, this is for you! You saw a potential in me when I first met you at the KNUST Biochemistry lab in 2021 and my plans to pursue journalism. You afforded me an opportunity at Luv FM. You pushed me to my very best!
Kofi Adu Domfeh Words fail me! You’ve been so supportive! Sometimes, I get gobsmacked over how you repose so much confidence in me and in my capabilities. Thank you for accepting me into the newsroom!
Especially now to my able camera technicians, Nicholas Suantah and Akwasi Adomako Ogee, whose camera works contributed immensely to these achievements yesterday, I really am eternally grateful!
