In a show of support for the on -going Teshie Homowo festival, Hon.Benjamin Narteh Ayiku, Member of Parliament for the constituency, has made a generous donation of official 2023 sesetse chemise.
The presentation took place at a brief ceremony held at Nyɔnmɔ Tsaanaa, where constituency executives, coordinators, family heads of Nyɔnmɔ Tsaanaa, and the sesetse were present.
The donation by Hon. Ayiku aims to enhance the cultural significance of the Teshie Homowo festival, which celebrates the Teshie people’s harvest and marks the beginning of a new farming season.
The sesetse chemise, a traditional attire worn during the festival by the Sesetse and his entourage , holds great importance in preserving and showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Teshie community.
Expressing his commitment to promoting and preserving local traditions, Hon. Ayiku emphasized the need for unity and support from all stakeholders to ensure the success of the festival.
He lauded the efforts of the Teshie community in preserving their cultural identity and urged everyone to actively participate in the festivities.
