The President of Juaben Senior High School (SHS) Old Students Association in the Ashanti-Juaben who doubles as a senior political science Lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST),Dr.Kwasi Amakye Boateng,today,Monday,14th November,2022 has officially launched the 50th anniversary celebration of the school.
The 50th anniversary is under the theme “50 YEARS OF QUALITY EDUCATION:THE PAST,THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE”.
The short launching ceremony in the form of press conference to open the anniversary was attended by the Headmistress of the school, Mrs.Josephine Mensah Opuni-Boachie,Rev.Kwabena Osei Asante-Head of administration ,Mad.Sarpomaa Safo, assistant Head, Domestic ,Mad.Adriana Nyadu-Addo, assistant head, Academic among others.
Dr.Amakye Boateng revealed that activities preceding Saturday,19th November,2022 grand durbar include; a symposium & clean-up exercise on Tuesday,15th November,2022,Career Day (Talk show with old students) on Wednesday,16th November,2022.
Other preceding activities are;
Dr.Kwasi Amakye Boateng and Mrs.Josephine Mensah Opuni-Boachie,Juaben HS Headmistress
Socialization (soccer competition, indoor & outdoor games) slated for Thursday,17th November,2022,Jamboree Day (float, Bonfire & Dinner night),Friday,18th November,2022.
The grand durbar which is expected to be addressed by Nana Otuo Serebour II (Juabenmanhene and the guest speaker for the occasion) is slated for Saturday,19th November,2022 at the School’s campus.
The grand durbar is also expected to be attended by H.E.Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia,the vice President of the republic of Ghana and chaired by Mr.Akwasi Asante.
The President of the old students Association of Juaben SHS therefore used the occasion to call on all old students to involve themselves and contribute their quota to make the anniversary a successful one.

The Head Mistress of the school,Mrs. Josephine Mensah Opuni-Boachie,on her part heaps praises on the Old students Association ,Juabenmanhene and the PTA of the school for their relentless support.
The ongoing Dining hall block renovation
According to her, it would have been extremely difficult for the 50th anniversary celebration to come on without the tremendous support of the Old Students Association among other stakeholders.
The Sick Bay
”On behalf of the School Management, the board members of the school led by Bishop Kenneth Obeng Dapaah who doubles as Effiduase diocesan Bishop of Methodist Church, we wish to express our profound gratitude to the Old Students Association and the PTA of the school for their continue support’.
She mentioned that the ongoing renovation of the dining hall block of the school is been sponsored by the Old Students Association, the sick bay of the school was established by 1988 year group,1996 and 1990 year groups have also contributed to painting of the school among others.
Mrs.Opuni-Boachie said the school has not disappointed the nation and Juabenman since its inception because they have produced many leaders for the country; Rt.Hon.Joseph Osei-Owusu,first deputy speaker of parliament who doubles as MP for Bekwai,Dr.Kwasi Amakye Boateng, senior political science lecturer,KNUST,Hon.K.T.Hammond,MP for Adansi –Asokwa and Mrs.Lucy Twum,Ashanti regional Government Statistician just to mention but few.She therefore implored on all Old students to come for the 50th anniversary celebration and support the continued growth of the school.
