Principal Budget Analyst, Mr. Eric Nunoo explained that most of the rates are being reviewed for the first time in five years. He encouraged ratepayers to cooperate with the assembly to support development across the metropolis.

Speaking on behalf of the mayor, Metro Budget Analyst, Mr. Jones Kani emphasised that the engagement fulfils the requirements of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), which provides for stakeholder input in fixing fees and rates.
