KMA PM Supports Krofrom Adabia Islamic School with Educational & Sports equipment

In a strong commitment to improving education and fostering youth development, Mr. Patrick Kwame Frimpong, Assembly Member for the Krofrom East Electoral Area,who doubles as the Presiding Member(PM) of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), has donated educational and sports materials to the Krofrom Adabia Islamic School.

The donation, which included footballs, jerseys, exercise books, textbooks, pens, pencils, sharpeners, and erasers, is valued at several thousands of Ghana cedis.

During an interview with the media, after the presentation ceremony, Mr. Frimpong explained that, the donation was part of his annual commitment to support schools within his electoral area, particularly at the start of each academic year. He highlighted that,the gesture was in line with promises made to the electorate when he campaigned for the Assembly Member position.

“I made a pledged to support the schools in my electoral area, and today,I am happy to fulfill that promise. Education is the foundation of every nation’s development, and we must provide our children with the tools, they need to succeed in life,”. Frimpong stressed.

The Assembly Member, further advised the students to take their studies seriously, emphasizing the crucial role education plays in both individual growth and the progress of the country. He, also called on the teachers to remain patient and dedicated in shaping the students into future leaders, such as ministers, Members of parliament (MP), and even presidents.

Mr. Frimpong, also took the opportunity to urge Ghanaians, to maintain peace as the 2024 general election approaches. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing national unity over political differences, stating, “We must put the interests of our country first. As we head into the election, let’s focus on maintaining peace and stability for the sake of Ghana’s future.”

The Headmaster of Krofrom Adabia Islamic School, Mr. Yaw Sarpong Ababio, who received the donation on behalf of the school, expressed deep gratitude to Mr.Patrick Frimpong for his continued support. He assured him that, the materials would be put to good use to promote effective teaching and learning at the school.

“We are truly grateful for this generous donation. These items will significantly enhance both the academic and extracurricular activities of the school,” Mr. Ababio stated.

However, Mr. Ababio, also took the opportunity to appeal for further infrastructural support. He highlighted several challenges facing the school, including the lack of a staff common room, which forces teachers to carry out their duties outside, as well as the absence of a fence wall, which leaves the school vulnerable to unauthorized entry and external disturbances.

In addition, he requested for more computers to aid in the teaching of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), stressing the importance of digital literacy in modern education.

The donation,was well-received by the students and staff of the Krofrom Adabia Islamic School, with the hope that these materials will contribute to the holistic development of the students and the academic excellence .
