KOJO BOFOURHENE HOLDS 2022 YAM FESTIVAL IN GRAND STYLE
The chief of Kojo Bofour near Yeji in the Pru East District of the Bono East Region, Nana Dr. Agyare Bofour IV,has observed that no nation can develop in an atmosphere of anarchy and chaos hence the need to embrace the prevailing peace in the country.
Nana Dr. Agyare Bofour made this comment during the celebration of 2022 Kojo Bofour Yam Festival under the theme “Liberty and freedom in peace and development“.
He explained that the chiefs of Kojo Bofour since time of memorial have live peace and harmony with their people and surrounding towns which indeed has impacted positively on them.
He said, the celebration of 2022 Kojo Bofour Yam Festival has been described as a “historic ” as it witnessed large number of people from within the traditional area and other regions.

According to him, Kojo Bofour traditional council would continue to make peace their priority as this is the only means to see growth and development.
According to Nana Dr. Agyare Bofour, one of his major achievements is the establishment of modern palace which is almost completed for traditional sittings.
He used the occasion to charge the youth to be hard working and focus on their education and desist from social vices which are likely to jeopardize their future. He was thankful to the people of the area for their cooperation with the Kojo Bofour traditional council and urged them to sustain it. He assured them that Kojo Bofour traditional council would continue to be opened and transparent with them.
“My doors are widely opened for my people for suggestions, advice to move the area forward “he added. He said gone were the days when chiefs were sitting and dancing in palanquins but today, they are seen as agents of development. With this, he said they (Nananom) would continue to embark on social programs to alleviate their burdens.
