The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for the Kumawu Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Ernest Yaw Anim, has organised free career guidance for BECE students in the Sekyere Kumawu district.
Aside from the career guidance which assembled facilitators to assist the candidates to understand and answer questions, including how to make proper selection of SHSs/TVET schools, the MP donated mathematical sets to all the BECE candidates.

Speaking to the media after the career guidance session, Mr. Anim said over the past two years, he had done a lot through various interventions to improve education.
In addition to the donation, the MP and his team used the opportunity to advise the candidates to shun examination malpractices and rather stick to what their tutors would teach them prior to the exams.

He continued, “I wish to urge you to make books your friend in order to help you attain excellent aggregates. Your predecessors worked hard to attain high aggregates to enable them to continue to SHS and with commitment and hard work you can also make it.”

“I’m encouraging you to work hard and make yourselves and your families proud by securing good aggregates in the BECE devoid of examination malpractice. As you’re aware, five candidates from each of the over 50 schools who will score aggregates 6 to 10 will receive a reward: free prospectus and foam mattresses from me,” he promised them.
Also, the Kumawu MP complimented the teachers, nananom and other stakeholders in the district for continuously supporting the provision of quality education.
