MTN INDUCTED INTO AFRICA PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN HALL OF FAME, WINS SIX MORE AWARDS

MTN Ghana has been inducted into the Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Hall of Fame, at the 4th Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Awards held at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra. In addition, MTN Ghana won six other awards bringing the total number of awards won to seven.

 

Patrick Afari receiving Industry of Year Personality, Private Sector Award

 

This year’s award was held under the theme “Driving Excellence in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.

Anthony Osei Tutu, Senior Manager Sourcing, receiving the award for Innovative use of Technology in Procurement and Supply Chain on behalf of MTN Ghana

 

 

The awards won are:

  • Supplier Development Company of the Year
  • Excellence in Procurement and Supply Chain in Telecoms and IT
  • Innovative Use of Technology in Procurement and Supply Chain
  • Hall of Fame – MTN Ghana
  • Excellence in Procurement and Supply Chain Telecoms Team of the Year -Gold
  • Africa Top 50 Procurement and Supply Chain Leader-Patrick Afari
  • Industry Personality of the Year -Patrick Afari

Cynthia Adjeley Nelson-Okine, Manager, Travel & Logistics receiving Supplier Development Company of Year Award on behalf of MTN

 

The awards won were in recognition of MTN’s excellence and consistency in managing its Procurement and Supply Chain processes and ensuring end to end procurement and supply chain management.

The General Manager for Supply Chain Management and General Services, Patrick Afari won two personality Awards. He was adjudged Industry Personality of the Year and was also named among the top 50 Procurement and Supply Chain Leaders in Africa for the second time.

 

Other MTN operating countries and an Executive at the MTN Group were also recognized at the event. Dirk Karl, Group Executive forProcurement & Supply Chain Managementreceived the Lifetime Achievement Award in Procurement and Supply Chain. MTN Nigeria received two awardsforExcellence in Procurement and Supply Chain Compliance and Excellence in Procurement and Supply Chain Team of the Year.

Leading the team to receive the awards, Patrick Afari, thanked the organizers for the recognition. He dedicated the awards to all staff and suppliers of MTN Ghana. He made a commitment to ensure MTN continues to employ the best practicesin Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
