Nana Agyemang Badu adjudged 2022 Ejisu Best farmer

Nana Agyemang Badu,a native of Donyina has been adjudged
the overall best farmer for Ejisu Municipality at 38th Farmer’s Day held at Akyawkrom in the Ejisu Municipality of Ashanti.

The 38th Farmer’s day was under the theme “Accelerating Agricultural Development through value addition”

The purposes for the institution of the farmers day was to honour and also encourage all farmers for their contribution to the nation growth.

Speaking at the occasion, the Municipal Chief Executive(MCE) for Ejisu ,Hon. Samuel Oduro Frimpong commended the farmers for their hard work and commitment to feeding the citizenry in the face of the global economic and food crisis.

He assured farmers in the area of the support of the government and the Assembly to enable them achieve their target for food sufficiency.

According to Ejisu MCE, necessary measures and initiatives would be put in place to foster agro-processing and value addition for the benefits of the Ghanaian- farmer.

He also pledged to support them with the needed incentives and policies to accelerate their productivity.

The overall best farmer received Motorcycle,(Aboboya) wiellington boots, Spraying machine, Machete and other souvenirs.

On his part, Nana Agyemang Badu thanked the Municipal Chief Executive and the Agric Ministry for their continues support to farmers in the country.

He also encourages the youth to take farming as a profession devoid of the wrong impression that farming was a punishment profession.
