Nana Kwadwo Adusei installed as Nkosuohene of Krobo

In a remarkable ceremony held at Krobo, near Antoa in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Nana Kwadwo Adusei, a black American philanthropist, was installed as the Nkosuohene (Development Chief) of the Krobo community.

His installation follows his outstanding contributions towards the development of the community, particularly in the areas of education, infrastructure and social welfare.

The ceremony, which took place amidst cultural pomp and traditional rites, saw Nana Kwadwo Adusei swearing an oath of allegiance to Nana Yaw Adom Owusu I, the Odikro of Krobo.

Nana Adom Owusu expressed his profound gratitude to Nana Kwadwo Adusei for his selfless dedication and continuous efforts to improve the lives of the people at Krobo.

“I am honoured to bestow the title of Nkosuohene on Nana Kwadwo Adusei, in recognition of his unwavering support for the development of Krobo. His contributions have made a significant impact, and we look forward to achieving even more under his leadership,” Nana Adom Owusu I stated.

Nana Kwadwo Adusei, who has roots in the United States, has long shown a keen interest in the development of Ghana, especially in rural areas.

His appointment as Nkosuohene underscores the community’s appreciation for his initiatives, which include funding education for underprivileged children, improving local healthcare facilities and spearheading the construction of key infrastructural projects in the area,” he added.

In his acceptance speech, Nana Kwadwo Adusei expressed his gratitude for the honour and reaffirmed his commitment to continue working closely with the community.

“I am deeply humbled by this recognition. Krobo has become a second home to me, and I promise to dedicate my resources and energy to furthering the development of this great community,” he said.

The installation was attended by several dignitaries, traditional leaders, delegations from the United States of America and members of the Krobo community.

The event also featured traditional drumming, dancing, and the pouring of libation to invoke blessings for the newly installed Nkosuohene.
