He said that in order not to remain where he was, he decided to pursue law at the University of Ghana. According to Prangmanhene, he successfully gained admission to pursue the law, but the University Board advised him to shift from law to sociology and political science.

Prangmanhene said he was then a Paramount Chief, and it would be better for him to pursue these two courses, according to the University Board, in order to understand the nature and culture of various tribes within his area in order to succeed as a Chief. He said the law profession was what he was aiming for, but he was further advised that this would not help as far as chieftaincy is concerned.

The former Council of State Member during the late J. J. Rawlings regime said he is always happy that the sociology and political science he pursued has helped him broaden his knowledge in dealing with and handling his people well, which has accorded him one of the most respectable chiefs in Ghana.

Nana Kwadwo Nyarko, who has been on the stool for 62 years, said he controls over 30 towns and villages, which include Abua, Akrakuka, Dama Nkwanta, Labo, and Kofi Baasare Bolga Nkwanta, among others.

He said, “For the past 62 years on his enlistment, Prang has witnessed massive infrastructure like Prang SHS, electricity, hospitals, water, and road networks, among others.

He said he would continue to explore all avenues that could pave the way for more development within his area.

Nana Kwadwo Nyarko further added that he is not trying to blow his horns, but his leadership skills are unmatched, as he is transparent and neutral when he presides over cases for settlement, and this has made his people develop his sense of love and respect for him.
