Mr Abambila John, a member of the Ashanti Regional communications team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made a passionate appeal to the Paramount Chief of Tepa traditional Council,Nana Adusei Atwenewah Ampem I,
and the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area,Eric Nana Agyemang,especially among other stakeholders to encourage Assembly members in the area to confirm or endorse Mr Akwasi Adusei, President John Mahama’s nominee for Municipal Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano North.

The nominee is a former Member of Parliament (MP) and 2024 parliamentary candidate for the area.

Abambila John, who expressed unwavering praised for Assembly members,who have shown willingness to confirm H.E John Mahama’s nominees as MMDCES’ in some districts,made the appeal in an interview with “The New Trust” Newspaper on Tuesday,13th May,2025.

Mr. Abambila John said ” I wish to appeal to the Ahafo Ano North Assembly members to put aside their differences and confirm Hon. Akwasi Adusei as MCE for Tepa. I’m also appealing to the Tepamanhene ,Nana Adusei Atwenewah Ampem I,and the MP for the area to encourage the Assembly members to support the nominee by confirming him hundred percent “.

Besides, the NDC communicator, advised all appointees to exercise extra vigilance in their duties, citing Sammy Gyamfi’s video as a cautionary example. He emphasized that respect, humility, and service should be priorities for all appointees.

He has, therefore, called on the residents of the area, especially the members of the NDC, to rally behind the nominees.

“Let’s all rally behind President’s nominee for Ahafo Ano North. Also, I’m asking all party members in Ahafo Ano North to remain calm and work tirelessly with the nominee, Akwasi Adusei. We should be more concerned about development in the district than seeking selfish-interest,” he stressed.

He was hopeful that with the support of Assembly members, nananom, residents and the party members, the nominee, if confirmed, would work assiduously to help bring the needed development to the area.

The NDC communicator, who is a resident of the area, stressed the need for unity among the rank and file of the NDC, especially to help President Mahama and his appointees implement programmes and policies for the betterment of all Ghanaians.
