The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Nhyiaeso Constituency within the Kumasi Metropolis, Faustina Dery, who is popularly known as Obaapa Fausty, has intensified public education on the voter’s registration exercise.

She has encouraged Ghanaians, especially those who have attained 18 years and above, to take advantage of the exercise to get their names in the voters’ register to enable them to exercise their franchise in the 7th December 2024 general election.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, 5th May 2024, after embarking on an awareness creation, Obaapa Fausty reminded yet-to-be registered voters that the only way to enable them to vote out the non-performing NPP government led by President Akufo-Addo, which has brought unbearable hardship on Ghanaians, is to get first their names in the voters’ register.

The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana will officially begin voter’s registration exercise ahead of the 2024 elections on Tuesday, 7th May,2024.

The exercise is expected to end on 27th May 2024 across all the district offices of the Commission.

Obaapa Fausty advised all those who have attained the required age to do so.

According to her, the need to vote massively against the ruling government starts from the voter’s registration and it should be taken very seriously by supporters and sympathisers of the NDC and all Ghanaians who are fed up with the hardship they are currently going through.

“Let’s all take the exercise very seriously to make it a success,” she stressed.
