Ghanaians across the country, especially first-time voters, have been urged to go out in their numbers and vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, who is number one on the ballot, as well as all NPP parliamentary candidates, to continue the good works of the Akufo-Addo administration.

The Ashanti Regional Organiser for the NPP, Dr. Francis Adomako, who made the call in an interview with “The New Trust” newspaper on Thursday, 3rd October 2024, said Dr. Bawumia is the best bet for the nation’s development.

According to him, who is affectionately called Francois, aside from the unprecedented achievements by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government, Dr. Bawumia’s vision and policies have the potential to accelerate the transformation the nation needs, adding that the NPP is more democratic than the largest opposition party, the NDC.

“At least we (NPP) have given someone who is a Muslim and a northerner the opportunity to lead us as our flagbearer. Dr. Bawumia is a technocrat as well, and he has been the most visible and efficient Vice-President since the 4th Republic,” he added.

He indicated that this shows the NPP is not an Akan party as their political opponents used to say to create disaffection among floating voters.

The Ashanti Regional NPP Organiser , who is also the  Dean of all Regional Organisers said, “Again our party believes in all religions. The NDC has never chosen a Muslim as even its national chairman, let alone a flagbearer. Apart from that, Dr. Bawumia has attended all religious programmes and supported the Christian community ever since he became the Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana.”

Francois, therefore, appealed to all Ghanaians, especially eligible voters, to at least give Dr. Bawumia the chance because he has good morals.

Besides, he has respect for pastors, chiefs, opinion leaders, among others, and he doesn’t insult anybody who doesn’t even agree with him.
