Mr. Thomas Kusi Boafo, the Chief Executive Officer for Public Sector Reforms has declared open support for Mr. George Akom who is aspiring to contest for Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency Parliamentary Seat come 2024.

He made the comment on WONTUMI TV and Radio Morning Show when he appeared on the platform for discussion on the mid year budget review.
He indicated that he saw Mr. Akom is very courageous and very descent person who has future to champion the vision of the District and the NPP as whole.

He advised him to be steadfast and be decorous in all his endeavours.
He added that the he would support George Akom in all his capacity to become victorious in the elections.
He admonished him to apply home wisdom and academic wisdom in all his activities.
Mr. George Akom is native of Sekyere Afram Plains District who comes from Drobonso.

He grew from Drobonso and had his basic education from Drobonso. Many of the youth and some opinions leaders in the Constituency are in support of his bid.

He presented himself to considered as District Chief Executive for the district.

Although, he was not successful, but was selected among the last 3 of the Aspirants to be considered by the President.
Inspite of this, he is still supporting the NPP in diverse ways as a Communicator who had appeared on several platforms for NPP, Patron of TESCON and Alpha Patron. He has worked in the Ashanti Region as the National Rep for Regional Constituency Elections.
