The National Service Secretariat (NSS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the British Council Ghana and the National Youth Authority (NYA).

This partnership signifies a great step forward in former’s commitment to the youth of Ghana.

Collaboration for Youth Empowerment

The NSS is no longer just about deploying service personnel to institutions; Its focus has evolved to empower young talents with the professional skills and competencies they need to thrive in today’s job market.

It’s about equipping young people with the tools to gain meaningful employment or become self-employed for the development of Ghana.

During the signing ceremony, the Chief Executive for NSS emphasized the importance of the collaboration in addressing the challenges the youth face.

He told the media after the ceremony that together with the British Council Ghana and NYA, they are embarking on a mission to make the NSS more meaningful and impactful.

“We are nurturing critical thinking and problem-solving skills among our service personnel, as these skills are invaluable in their journey towards a bright future.”

“But our mission doesn’t stop at employment. We’re exploring ways to involve our youth in climate change activities, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping a sustainable future. It’s about empowering them with a holistic approach to life and work.

I firmly believe that empowering young people is not merely a goal; it’s a responsibility, a duty, and an investment in a brighter and more prosperous future for Ghana. As the Executive Director of the NSS, I’m committed to this mission with my heart and soul.
