Pile Pressure on Gov’t to Address High Rate of Unemployment-Parliament told

The passage of the marijuana Bill by Ghana’s Parliament for industrial purposes has received mixed reactions across the country. Honestly, a section of Ghanaians applauded Parliament while others have also kicking against the new law From Toase in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of Ashanti, the Sodohene of Toase traditional council, Nana Yaw Agyei has expressed his worries as to why Ghana’s Parliament passed this Bill without taking into considerations the numerous negative effects on the youth.

He said there are so many pressing issues that affects the growth and development of Ghana that needed to be addressed by Parliament. He explained that, already the youth in the country are very drenched with marijuana and now that the bill is passed,

it is going to get out of hands. Nana Yaw Agyei who is also the Kyidomhene of Mpasatia said it is not late for Parliament to rescind her decision for the betterment of the youth.

He explained that if there is anything to be tackled by the Parliament, it should be how to tackle high unemployment rate issue before anything else. He noted that lack of employment among the youth is compelling most of the youth to involve in crime like armed robbery etc.

Nana Yaw Agyei cautioned the leaders to exhibit qualities of patriotism devoid of selfish interest when voted into power.
The respected Chief also urged Parliamentarians to pile or put pressure on Nana Addo led administration to address the high rate of unemployment in the country.
