As part of activities to celebrate the birthday of the Trade and Industry Minister Hon.Alan KwadwoK
yerematen on Monday,3rd October,2022 a group calling themselves Asante Akyem for Alan 2024 in collaboration with Pro-Alan group Ashanti region have embarked on a massive clean -up exercise in Konongo,the Municipal capital of Asante Akyem central.

The group defied a heavy downpour on Saturday,1st October,2022 to clear choked gutters, weep and sweep many parts of Konongo including Konongo market.

The supporters of Alan Kyerematen surprised residents of Konongo especially those who live in Ward- 6 electoral area who had complained bitterly to the media covering the event earlier on about the nuisance the old age- refuse dump there was causing them and threatened to chase out their MP and any politician who dares step there to campaign ahead of 20224 polls.

The residents few hours later couldn’t control their joy when leaders of Pro-Alan group led by Counselor Yaw Obeng Boamah,the Event Organizer for Asante Akyem for Alan with the support of an Economist ,Mr.Kwaku Achempong and other supporters decided to team up and address the challenged the residents were confronted with by hiring Excavator to clear the huge refuse dump for the residents.

As soon as the Excavator arrived to start the work,the residents of Ward-6 also defied a downpour and went out with big jubilation singing the praises of the Trade Minister and his supporters.
According to them, for the organizers of the event to immediately hired excavator to clear their refuse dump in response to their serious challenged which was not originally part of their program was highly recommendable.
The residents lamented that the electoral area currently don’t have both Assembly member and unit committee members due to misunderstanding.
Speaking to the media,the residents said they decided to defied the heavy rain to jubilate and sing the praises of the group for their timely rescued because several appeals to MCE and the MP for the area to come to their aid have fallen into deaf ears for many years now.

Speaking to the media, Counselor Yaw Obeng Boamah-PRO- ALAN group organizer said originally hiring Excavator to clear the refuse dump was not part of their clean-up and float exercise but he had to team up Mr.Kwaku Acheampong and few other team members to fought the bill for clearing of the refuse dump to save the residents form serious health challenge they were going through as a result of uncollected refuse dump.
He said the Trade Minister “we’re celebrating his birthday with the clean-up exercise is clean and we decided to clear the refuse as our birthday gift for Hon.Alan Kyerematen.
He therefore used the opportunity to appeal to the delegates of NPP to consider Alan in the party’s flagbearership race.
According to Counselor Yaw Boamah,Nana Addo led government has implemented Free Senior High School policy among other polices and after him, all that majority of Ghanaians especially the youth are looking up for his next candidate who can help create jobs and is no other person than,Hon.Alan Kyerematen who has been able to lobbied for African Continental Trade Centre to Ghana. “Let’s us all rely behind Alan in peace and unity”
The Konongo Market queen,Nana Adwoa Kisiwa and her team commended the group for the exercise and respect accorded them.She endorsed the candidature of Hon.Alan Kyerematen saying that Nana Addo led government has done well by implementing free SHS for their children and they’re looking up for Hon.Alan Kyerematen to lead NPP to succeed Nana Addo to help create jobs for the youth.She therefore appeals to NPP delegates to consider Hon.Alan in their flagbearership race.
