REPORT: Agric Sector Records Highest GDP GROWTH Again for the 3RD QUARTER of 2022

According to Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth is the main indicator of the economic performance and growth, and therefore, this positions the GDP Growth as the best assessor for the performance of any sector and individuals managing the respective sectors.

According to the recently released GDP Growth of Ghana and the respective sectors and sub-sectors, the AGRICULTURE SECTOR recorded the HIGHEST GROWTH of 4.6 per cent among all the SECTORS followed by the Services sector with a growth of 3.9 per cent and the Industry sector with a growth of 0.9 per cent.

According to the Statistical Service, the main sub-sectors which improved this GDP growth include; Information and Communication, Mining and Quarrying, and Education.

In furtherance, nine sub-sectors dragged the economic growth and contributed to the contraction in the GDP GROWTH for the 3rd quarter of 2022, and they include; Professional, Administrative and Support Service activities which contracted by 12.1 per cent, Personal Service activities contracted by 8.6 per cent; Manufacturing shrank by 7.4 per cent and Construction decreased by 7.0 per cent.

The rest are; Real Estate contracted by 6.6 per cent, Hotels and Restaurants contracted by 6.4 per cent, Trade contracted by 2.4 per cent, Electricity contracted by 3.9 per cent and Water contracted by 3.0 per cent.

The growth of the GDP for the 3rd Quarter of 2022 with the AGRIC SECTOR recording the highest GROWTH therefore positions Dr. Akoto as the Best Minister under the President Nana Akufo-Addo Administration.

Therefore, if Ghana indeed seeks for a competent, problem solver, result-oriented, one who can think on his feet and bring forth results in times of crisis and puts the national development and interest ahead of his self interest then none can be compared to Dr. Akoto in this regard.

Dr. Akoto is indeed the best to lead Ghana
