Saturday’s NPP Nat’L Officers elections:Ensure fairness and Transparency-Addai-Nimoh advises election C’ttee

The former Member of Parliament(MP) for Mampong who doubles as 2014 NPP flagbearer aspirant,Hon.Francis Addai-Nimoh has called on Mr.Peter Mac Manu led Committee to ensure that there is fairness and transparency in the Saturday’s National Executives elections in Accra.

According to him,the Committee should ensure that the rules and regulations governing the elections are strictly adhere to in fairness devoid of any suspicion.

Hon.Addai-Nimoh made the call on Tuesday, 12th July, 2022 on Sompa TV/Radio “Ade Akye Abia” show hosted by Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye.

He said the need for the party to come out from the National delegates conference more united ahead of 2024 general elections cannot overemphasized.

“We will need everyone one on board to break the 8 hence we need to ensure fairness and transparency in the polls.I’m therefore pleading with the elections Committee led by Mr.Peter Mac Manu to play by the rules and regulations of the polls”.

Hon.Addai-Nimoh predicted that there will be surprises in the elections even though,he declined to endorse any candidate.

He called on the delegates to go for the best among the contestants bearing in mind that the executives they elect on Saturday are going to be those who would steer the affairs of the party to elect Parliamentary candidates and flagbearer for 2024.

That mistake of the past which contributed to the party declining from 169 seats in 2016 to 137 in 2020 and declining of Presidential victory margin should be avoided.
