The Convention Peoples Party’s attention has been drawn to a video circulating on Social Media which shows the chairman and leader of the National Democratic Congress MOCKING the Ghanaian Youths who have been denied entry into the security services to self their Country.
We want to state it on record that it is the NDC as a political party that has formed the current John Mahama led government.
Again it is the John Mahama led government that invited the Ghanaian Youth to apply to be recruited into Ghana’s security services—including the Police, Immigration, Prisons, and Fire Services.

Even though the NDC government knew that they only have financial clearance to recruit only 5000 personnel, they sold forms to 500,000 applicants.
This is not a mistake but a calculative and masterminded plan to rip off the already desperate and poor Ghanaian Youth.
As we speak with each applicant paying GH¢220 as voucher fee, approximately GH¢113 million Ghana cedis has been collected from the Ghanaian Youth who has been disqualified too.
The unfortunate statement by Mr Asiedu Nketiah mocking the “cheated and robbed” Ghanaian Youth cannot be taken lightly because lives were lost in a similar recruitment exercise during the armed forces recruitment.

Again the mocking of the Ghanaian Youth cannot be taken lightly because that recruitment exercise was a destiny changer for most of the Youth whose monies have been STOLEN by Mr Asiedu Nketiah and his NDC government.
We the CPP want to know if it is the official position of government that, the Ghanaian Youth was deliberately denied entry into the security services because, “Some of the disqualified applicants must become thieves, so that those being recruited can arrest them”
The CPP demands that government with immediate effect apologies to all the affected applicants and present a new way to employ the applicants.
The CPP also demand that all the supposed voucher monies be refunded back to each and every applicant as soon as possible or the CPP will sue government on behalf of the applicants.

Lastly we the CPP wants Mr Asiedu Nketiah and other government officials who have employed their children and family members into juicy positions in this government to know that, it is their duty to create employment opportunities for the unemployed Youth of this Country.
It is instructive to remind the NDC government that, they are paid heavily every month and given the fat allowances and fuel the big cars we have bought for them, so that, they will have sound mind to creat the employment opportunities the Ghanaian Youth are yearning for.
To Mr Asiedu Nketiah, your supposed apology is unacceptable and not fit for purpose!
Again no amount of deliberate denial of the Ghanaian Youth decent jobs and opportunities will turn the Ghanaian Youth into a thief or involved themselves in any illegal act.
To the Ghanaian Youth, the CPP stand with you in this unfortunate situation and time. We shall fight side by side to make sure Justice is served.
Forward Ever!
Signed
Osei Kofi Acquah
National Communications Director for the CPP
