The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Kofi Adade Foundation, who doubles as a senior journalist with Oyerepa TV/ Radio in Kumasi, Mr.Kofi Adade has made a passionate appeal to corporate organisations and individuals to generously donate to the Foundation’s appeal to help them cushion poor & needy parents and orphan students to buy the needed items for Senior High School (SHS) admission.

Kofi Adade Foundation, which is known for its annual support, has officially launched this year’s appeal for funds to cushion poor parents whose wards or children will secure admission to the various senior high schools as well as orphans who will equally secure admission after the school selection process.

Mr.Adade, who’s a former Assembly member for Kumawu-Dadease electoral area in the Sekyere Kumawu district said the objective of the appeal for funds is to help ease poor parents burden of paying or buying note books,exercise books, pens,pencils, school bags among other items.

Besides, it aimed to motivate the poor school-going children, at least to complete basic school, and also to help orphans in the basic schools to have access to these basic items at school.

According to the CEO, this year’s appeal for funds will be used to support the targeted groups in Sekyere Kumwwu district, Sekyere East district, Juaben Municipal, Ejisu Municipal, Atwima Kwanwoma District as well as Abrepo in the Bantama constituency with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.

According to him, simple research conducted indicates that over six thousand pupils in the towns and their surrounding villages are orphans and needy.The letter of appeal is reproduced below.

“PROPOSAL TO SPONSOR ORPHANS AND NERDY PUPILS IN SEKYERE KUMAWU DISTRICT, SEKYERE EAST DISTRICT, JUABEN MUNICIPAL, EJISU MUNICIPAL, ATWIMA KWANWOMA MUNICIPAL AND ABREPO IN THE BANTAMA CONSTITUENCY

The Kofi Adade Foundation goes to these two districts, three municipalities and one constituency, all in the Ashanti Region.

I wish to apply for sponsorship to support orphans and needy pupils. I wish to get support to provide these pupils with items such as notebooks, exercise books, pens, pencils, and school bags.

The date for this programme is on 1st September, 2026.
