Six persons arrested for illegally dumping refuse at Otumfuo Roundabout in Kejetia have been convicted by the Prempeh Assembly District Court on Monday, 11th May 2026.
The court, presided over by Her Worship Deborah Gyaawa Donkoh, sentenced each offender to 100 penalty units, equivalent to GHS 1,200.00, or a 10-day imprisonment term in default after they pleaded guilty to the sanitation offence.
Five of the offenders have paid their fines, while one offender, Ebenezer Atakorah, will serve a 10-day prison sentence after failing to pay.
The offenders were arrested around 5:30 a.m. by Metro Guards personnel of the Kumasi.
