Prang Senior High School in the Pru West District of the Bono East Region is experiencing a water crisis, which has compelled hundreds of boarding students to roam nearby areas in search of water.
Some students who expressed their frustrations to this paper said, “We have been experiencing a water crisis for a very long period, and this is adversely affecting our academic activities.”

According to them, they have to cross the main busy road, where there is only one well for them to depend on to access water.
They said this well, and they can not cater for them because of their population.
“By the time we get water, we are already tired, and we can not even concentrate on our studies,” they lamented.

The students humbly appealed to the authorities of the town, especially the Paramount Chief for the Prang traditional area, Nana Kwadwo Nyarko III, to add his voice so that the leadership could come to their aid.
Nana Kwadwo Nyarko, on his part, assured the students that he would do what he could through lobbying through state officials in order to address the issue.

In an another development, the residents of Prang have eulogised the Paramount Chief for Prang, Nana Kwadwo Nyarko III, for his selfless leadership and called on the government to honour him in order for others to emulate his shining examples.
They said Nana Kwadwo Nyarko deserves a state award, as he is among the few chiefs in the country who value the welfare and development of his people. The residents said he has lobbied to improve the road network, health, electrification, and infrastructure, among others.
“One thing we are happy about, Nana Kwadwo Nyarko, is that he is a peacemaker and neutral whenever cases are before him for settlement,” they recounted.By:tntnewspaprgh.com
