We’re committed to addressing fibre cuts to ensure quality service delivery at all times- MTN Ghana’s Chief Home Officer declares

As part of its commitment towards providing timely solutions to complaints and concerns of over 26 million subscribers, MTN Ghana has held its Bright Conversation series to celebrate three decades of dedicated service.

In his presentation, Mr Richard Acheampong, the Chief Home Officer at the company, stated that MTN Ghana is still more committed than ever before in providing their customers truth and value for money.

“We’re committed to ensuring seamless data and voice services at all times.

We’re also committed to putting our numerous customers’ needs at the heart of our operations.

To this end, we’re still addressing the issue of fibre cuts, which usually affects service delivery.”

 

 

“We are still dealing with the issue of fibre cuts, so we track and monitor road contractors to ensure they do not sever our cables,”Mr Acheampong stressed.

The virtual conversion held on Monday, 20th July, 2026, centred more on fibre optic cuts, which have become a major challenge confronting their service provision to millions of subscribers.

The leader of the conversion, who doubles as the Chief Home Officer, explained that when customers make complaints, they’re handled urgently on a case-by-case basis to ensure long-term resolution.

According to the Chief Home Officer, MTN Ghana is leveraging technology to automatically detect damaged fibre optic cuts as part of strategies of reducing interruption.

Stressing that “We’re still dealing with the issue of fibre optic cuts, so we track and monitor road contractors to ensure they don’t sever our main cables.”

According to Mr.Acheampong, the main purpose of MTN Ghana’s Bright Conversations is to serve as an interactive stakeholder forum where leadership discusses company strategies, emerging technology trends, and the brand’s vision for digital transformation.
