We’ve not endorsed Bawumia in NPP Presidential race-8 Youth organizers in Ashanti declare

We, the undersigned Ashanti Regional Youth Organizers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), wish to set the record straight regarding recent claims made at a press conference held on Tuesday, 28th October 2025.
During that event, a group of young individuals publicly declared that Ashanti Regional Youth Organizers had endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming NPP presidential primaries scheduled for 31st January 2026. A list of supposed endorsers was circulated and to our shock, our names were included without our knowledge or consent.
We wish to state clearly and without ambiguity:
• We have not endorsed Dr. Bawumia.
• We have not authorized anyone to speak or act on our behalf.
• We do not know how our names were added to the so-called “DMB Ashanti Youth Organizers” group.
Even more disturbing is the inclusion of our late colleague, Richard Kwateng, former Deputy Youth Organizer for Subin Constituency, who sadly passed away. His name appearing on the list is not only false but deeply disrespectful to his memory and family. It raises serious concerns about the credibility and integrity of the claims being made.
Our support remains firmly with Dr. Bryan Acheampong, and we stand by our right to choose and declare our political preferences without misrepresentation or manipulation.
