WHY CHOOSE ONLY A HIGHWAY WHEN THE REGION CAN HAVE BOTH A DUALISED HIGHWAY AND A WORLD CLASS EXPRESSWAY?*

Ashanti Youth for Development conveys its profound appreciation to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, for the visionary Ashanti Regional Expressway Project. This initiative reflects a clear commitment to accelerate development, enhance connectivity, and strengthen the economic competitiveness of the Ashanti Region and the nation at large.

 

 

The youth of Ashanti affirm their full support for this bold intervention. As development oriented citizens, we have no questions to ask, only sincere gratitude for the President’s foresight.

We recognise the Expressway as a transformative national asset and wholeheartedly trust the Government’s judgment and capacity to deliver it successfully.

Any individual or group attempting to cast doubts on this project does not act in the interest of the region or the country. Such voices should be ignored.

The Ashanti Region deserves modern infrastructure befitting its role as a major economic and demographic centre, and President Mahama has responded with clarity and conviction.

We have absolute confidence in his leadership and in the Government’s unwavering commitment to this vision.

Appreciation for the Dualisation of the Accra–Kumasi Highway

We also extend our gratitude to President Mahama for his dedication to the dualisation of the existing Accra–Kumasi Highway. Our checks confirm that contractors are on site and working diligently to advance this critical national project. When completed, the dualised highway will significantly improve mobility, safety, and trade across multiple regions.

Combined with the Ashanti Regional Expressway, these two major road investments will create unmatched transport efficiency. As we ask, why settle for only a highway when the region can benefit from both a dualised national highway and a world class expressway? This is the calibre of leadership that inspires progress and strengthens national unity.

Ashanti Youth for Development encourages all well meaning Ghanaians to embrace this project and its potential to drive economic growth, create jobs, and improve accessibility.

We remain fully aligned with the President’s vision and confident in the Government’s ability to execute it with excellence.

We stand resolute in our appreciation and support. The Expressway and the dualised highway together represent a new era of infrastructure development for the Ashanti Region, and we commend His Excellency for this historic commitment.
